On 29 October 2025, Youth4Society held Ambassadors of Non-Formal Education in partnership with the Youth Directorate of Tirana Municipality. The event explored how non-formal learning can support young people’s confidence, employment and participation in community life.
Hosted at Misto Treska Public Library, the event brought together 40 young people, youth workers and representatives of local organisations from Tirana and the surrounding area. Interactive workshops developed communication, presentation, teamwork and critical thinking skills, with attention to their relevance in a labour market shaped by artificial intelligence.
As part of Youth Ambassadors of Non-Formal Learning – Phase 2 (YAMNFL2), Youth4Society introduced its Training Manual on Non-Formal Education with support from Tirana Municipality. The manual offers workshop models and practical exercises in effective communication, self-presentation, time management and goal setting.
The two main workshops, Pitch Your Idea and Take the Initiative, helped participants develop and present ideas for employment, youth inclusion and community development. Both encouraged creative thinking and taking initiative.
Participants finished the day by sharing reflections and receiving digital participation certificates. They described the experience as inspiring and motivating for their personal and professional development.
The activity showed how non-formal learning can create space for young people to learn together, cooperate and contribute to positive change in their communities.
