Power of Multimedia – Bridges of Diversity is the newest project of “Youth4Society” Assocciation, which is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus + program.<\/p>\n

The project was developed by Y4S organisation, in co-operation with other partners of the consortium and a group of young leaders from Tirana, as a joint educational and social initiative, in order to address the need of youth workers and youth leaders in using multimedia and photography in promoting cultural diversity.<\/p>\n

The main aim of the project is to develop the competences of European youth workers in the use of multimedia tools in youth work, mostly through photography and video to promote the positive image of cultural diversity.<\/p>\n

During the project we will explore key elements that refer to cultural diversity such as: personal cultural backgrounds, identity, nationality, religion and beliefs, cultural sensitivity, prejudices and stereotypes.<\/p>\n

Project objectives:<\/p>\n

-to develop competences of European youth workers, notably in the field of using multimedia and fostering cultural diversity<\/p>\n

-to review and address essential knowledge, skills and attitudes for youth workers\/activists working with disadvantaged target groups to offer to them practical tools how to work within cultural diversity<\/p>\n

-to develop transversal skills of young people by using non-formal learning to develop their multimedia and communication skills<\/p>\n

-to promote cultural diversity as a resource for our society and stress its positive sides;<\/p>\n

-to provide concrete tools to participants through use of visual art (photography, video) fostering employability skills especially for youngsters with disadvantage background -to promote Erasmus+Youth as a tool for active citizenship and participation in social life of young people<\/p>\n

The Project is divided in three main phases:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Activity 1<\/strong>: Training Course\u00a0 \u2013 Cultural Diversity through Multimedia<\/p>\n

The training course aims to develop competences of youth workers in using multimedia to promote cultural diversity for and with young people<\/p>\n

Venue: Durres, Albania \u00a0; Date: 12-20 November 2016<\/p>\n

Activity 2: Youth Exchange:\u00a0 Bring the change <\/strong><\/p>\n

The youth exchange aims to bring together young people\/ members\/activists of our organisations to raise awareness about importance of cultural diversity and use multimedia and NFE as a tool for active participation and youth employment especially for youngsters with fewer opportunities.<\/p>\n

Venue: Struga, FYROM \u00a0; Date:\u00a0 6-15 February 2017<\/p>\n

Activity 3: Seminar\u00a0 – Bridges of Diversity. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The activity aims to bring together youth workers to exchange experiences, analyze needs and trends about culture diversity, and use different tools (networking & multimedia) to raise awareness and generating solutions for engagement of youngsters in promotion of cultural diversity.<\/p>\n
