Activity 1- TC on Human Rights Education & Inclusion using theatre tools

The first activity of this project was a training course, implemented in Durres, Albania, 3 – 11 May 2016,with the participation of 32 young people and youth workers from 7 different countries. The main objectives of this training course were : To promote Compass manual and familiarize the participants with its approaches and activities in order to use it and adapt in local realities, To use theater tools to promote human rights education for young people, to promote Inno Lab techniques theater and non formal education among youth leader who are working with human right education for young people, • to develop future partnership among youth workers/leaders.

The methodology of this training was based on the principles of non-formal education and plenty of methods such as simulation exercises, role play, small working groups, debate, video ,buzz group and theater

TC: Power of Theatre – Act for Human Rights

Youth4Society organization in cooperation with 7 partner organizations from Europe implemented a Key Action 2, Capacity Building Project titled: Power of theatre-Act your Human Rights which included a series of events on theatre tools &human rights education.

The project aimed to empower 8 youth association from EU and Western Balkan who work in human rights and inclusion by supporting youth workers with different effective tools on theatre, enhancing the participants awareness on how certain minorities, groups of individuals are socially excluded on the basis of their status.

The main objectives of the project were :

  • To raise understanding of human rights education and promote inclusion among youth workers/activists using theatre as a powerful tool;
  • To explore xenophobia, discrimination and intolerance issues
  • To promote InnoLab techniques, theatre and non formal education approach among practitioners who are working with youngsters with fewer opportunities
  • To promote Erasmus + (Youth) programme as a tool for active participation of youngsters in community life

This project included a series of events and three main activities:
